• Can be used flexibly for different application scenarios
  • Increased performance through continuous working action and 2-sleeper tamping technology
  • Maximum flexibility thanks to the pivoting tamping unit, four tamping unit segments that can be lowered individually, and tilting tamping tines
  • High track position durability and resistance to track distortion thanks to dynamic track stabilization
  • Reduces speed restrictions: optimized availability of the infrastructure after maintenance with dynamic track stabilization - Reaches the worksite fast thanks to a maximum speed of 100 km/h during self-propelled transfer travel
  • Spacious multi-purpose areas (e.g. workshop, crew area)
  • Fast approval at reduced cost thanks to the use of standardized machine components and systems
  • High machine availability thanks to simplified maintenance - Fast approval at reduced cost thanks to the use of standardized machine components and systems

4X8 tamping unit

2-sleeper maintenance for turnouts and plain-line tracks
The tried and tested 09-32/4S tamping unit developed into the 4x8 tamping unit, which is optimized for mastering 2-sleeper tamping: this tamping unit excels if both turnout and track maintenance is required. The 4x8 tamping unit continuously employs 2-sleeper mode. This mode is optimally suited for large radii and uses a higher working speed. If you prioritize high performance over the flexibility offered by 1-sleeper mode, the 4x8 tamping unit is the ideal choice for you.
