Progressive Track Maintenance

In 1953 Plasser & Theurer developed the first hydraulic tamping machine in the world and made the first step towards the mechanisation of track maintenance. Since then a rapid development began which was clearly led by the innovations originating from Plasser & Theurer.

Today the mechanisation of track maintenance has become reality. But the development continues. Higher cost-effectiveness, greater efficiency, improved ergonomics and sustainable environmental protection demand new solutions. Plasser & Theurer develops and supplies them to all parts of the world.
